I had lots of fun Saturday at the monthly crop I go to. First up, I did two cards -- one to play along with Danni's Monday card class:
and the second for Pinky's first January challenge at Scraptastic Club, which was to use a word stencil, mist and two tags. I made my own stencil with my Cricut, but I could have used one of the exclusive word stencils that came in recent Scraptastic kits:
I'm always surprised that more people don't join the challenges (I should talk -- I've been too busy for months up until now!). They're lots of fun and there's always a prize -- usually a $20 gift certificate to the store. I love seeing what others create within the same parameters too.
I was on a roll at my crop. I also scrapped a photo I found on Facebook of my youngest granddaughter and her pup celebrating New Year's Eve. I altered the photo several times in Photoshop for variety and added a few splats of paint, pearls and rhinestones for a confetti effect. My daughter-in-law is going to ask Maddy for a few words about the evening and I'll put her words on the pink tags:
I finished the "year in the life" book I've been working on all year, and figured out how to use my Bind-it-All to fasten it together. I had intended to post the photos here, but I forgot to photograph February and April. Sheesh.
Stand by for updates during the month as a new challenge is posted every Thursday and I plan to take part! Yay!
