I had a lot of fun yesterday and today, following the instructors' ideas to turn backgrounds from Days 1 and 2 into actual cards:
The watercolor background made cardmaking a cinch:
I didn't think I would like a round card, but surprisingly, I did! I'm going to make up the other two examples too. Next time I'll try the hinged top if I can overlap two circles slightly on my Cricut (I don't have a large enough circle die):
My background was splotchy in places and didn't show up in others, but the finished card turned out OK anyway. I wish I had heat embossed some stars instead of liquid pearl dots -- it kind of looks like a night sky, and stars would go with the "wishing" theme.
Oh, hello, I liked this background! I had done this technique before in a class, and really like the way it comes out.
I combined two cards ideas here. I didn't have glossy paper for the second background; nor did I have a large word die to use with this background. Guess who also doesn't have a heart die. I traced and cut out a small one and suspended it in a circle. The other side says XOXO Hugs and Kisses.
I like the way this next one came out. Love dry embossing with a stencil, and the suspended letters.
This background didn't come out as well as I planned either, but it's nice enough made into a card. The paneling on acetate makes an interesting card, and I like that the back side is covered too.
I'm going to move on to the next Design Break Day and hope to get back here for a couple more finished cards.
You've made some really lovely cards, I've loved this class too ;)! C x
