Using Watercolored Bits

I took the 8 1/2 x 11 sheet I watercolored the other day -- half cool colors and half warm -- and die cut some shapes I thought I might use: words, feathers, flowers, triangles and labels. I stamped a couple feathers and the triangles, although in retrospect black ink wasn't the ideal choice.

Then I made a couple cards with them:

And this one, using the inlaid technique I learned in the Clean and Simple 3 Class. I love this technique.

I had ordered a pack of colored cardstock from Simon Says Stamp, and love it! It's a nice heavy weight and will be my go-to paper for color from now on. As for white and ivory, Michael's has started selling packs of 110 weight paper, and with a coupon they are a great buy and a pleasure to use.

My watercoloring wasn't vibrant enough or varied enough to be truly pretty, but...I'm still experimenting and getting a feel for it. I just remembered I have some watercolor crayons, and I think I'll give them some love next.
